The new singletrack at Marshall is coming together great. Want a sneak preview? MTB Missoula is hosting trail work volunteer days up here on May 1 and May 14. We’ll see you out there!

Race Information

Hold the phone. Brand new singletrack right in our back yard? That’s just too sweet to pass up. Come on out to test the waters on Missoula’s newest trails. They’ll tie into some of the existing course on Marshall Mountain and highlight the hard work that MTB Missoula, Five Valleys Land Trust, and the Montana Conservation Corps are putting in up there. You can count on having a little bit of Western Montana Trail Series spice on top, too.

Mountain bike racing means, well, racing in the mountains, where the weather doesn’t always cooperate. Courses may change to accommodate unsafe weather or trail conditions. We’ll do our best to keep the website updated with any changes to the course or start times, but reserve the right to make changes without warning.

For the Kids

If everyone is racing, who’s watching the kids? The good people at the MORE Program (Missoula Outdoor Recreation and Education) have stepped up to offer bicycle and adventure programs during the races. They’ll have folks on staff to keep an eye on the kiddos (ages 2 and up!) while you’re doing the race thing. A suggested donation of $5 per child covers their overhead, and all proceeds go to supporting outdoor recreation and educational opportunities for kids in Missoula.

Racing is great, but will there be food there? We’ve got you covered. Covered Wagon, that is. Covered Wagon Hot Dogs will be up there all day, grilling sausage and watching the races. As always, Big Sky Brewing is bringing the beer, so pencil in a little time to enjoy a cold one after you’re done.

Camping and team tents are always welcome at the Western Montana Trail Series. Camping at Marshall Mountain is on a first come, first serve basis. RV and tent sites are available behind the gate, porta potties are on site, but please bring drinking water.
